I’m sure some of you have heard by now that Formula Drift today announced the Red Bull
Drifting World Championship, to be held at the Port of Long Beach on November
15, 2008. Looks like it’s going to be the biggest thing to have hit the world
of drifting and them some! The event will see the Top 16 Formula Drift
championship finishers go up against an all star invitational cast of
16 international drifters. Should be pretty amazing to witness!
So who do you think the 16 invitational “international” drifters should be?
The announcement of drifting on the dockyards of Long Beach
made think me of the commercial we shot last year at that very location for our
previous video game release: NFS Pro Street. To pilot the two cars we hired the
skilled hands of Daijiro Yoshihara and Rhys Millen. Interesting how these two guys are now team mates….and….Rhys is sponsored by Red Bull…What does it all mean?…. Probably not much but the cross connections are
