Gallery&gt;&gt;recent Car Spottings

Right now Japan is entering it's annual New Year holiday where companies shut down and everyone heads home to spend time with their families, eating traditional foods and that sort of thing. I guess its the opposite from the West where people get together with family for Christmas and then party with their buddies on New Years. Anyways, there won't be much going on here in Japan until Tokyo Auto Salon starts on January 9th.

As I sit here in the house trying to stay warm, I figured I'll post some more random shots of interesting cars Ive spotted over the past few weeks. You guys seem to like these posts, so I'm going to keep trying to do them regular. I spotted the JZX81 Chaser seen above in the parking lot of the Tsukuba D1SL event. You don't see too many cars rocking the old Enkei RP01 wheels anymore, but I thought they looked pretty nice on this simple-looking 81.

We were driving here in Tsukuba City the other day when a group of about 10 JZA80 Supras passed us going the other way. I'm assuming they were traveling to or from a club event. The cars ranged from bone stock to the pink "spocom" machine seen above. You can also a see an Abflug wide body Supra following behind.

I spotted this Camaro cruising the streets outside of the Mooneyes show in Yokohama a few weeks ago. I dig the '70s street machine style with the "big 'n little" Cragar mags and white letter rubber. In case you didn't know what year this car is, check the license plate.

I don't really know what's up with this van. The body looks like your typical VIP thing, but the chrome dubs seem to come more from the US-inspired "lux" style that is getting more and more popular in Japan.
