After spending some time in Ebisu circuit the other day shooting some drift cars I realized the lack of drift events in this "off-season" is getting to me. I always complain I cover too much drifting during the year but I'm experiencing some rubber-smoke withdrawal symptoms. So I thought it would be a good time to take a look at the other GX71 I spotted a Nikko at the end of November.

This old-school Chaser was parked next to the Cresta in the paddock and simply looked sensational slammed on its tiny 14-inch wheels.

Check out that stretch!

Not sure why but it was fitted with an Illinois plate up front! Look at that stance with the massive negative camber. Best thing about this Chaser, much like the Cresta parked next to it, was that it sported a completely stock body!

Under the hood the owner fitted a 2JZ from a JZA70 Supra running stock power but more than enough for his needs at the drift track. To improve breathing he fitted a custom intake pipe and a cone filter.

These big 80's cars are always great looking machines especially when lowered right down onto old-school wheels. This particular car was showing signs of its age due to the visible rust spots on the trunk lid.

Except for a cheap racing bucket seat and a vintage Tom's steering wheel the angular plasticky interior was all stock.

Yep, those are sticky Neova tires up front!
Hope you liked this short look at yet another cool old drift Toyota. I'll be trying my best to hunt a few more sweet 80's rides like this at upcoming 2010 drift events!
