It seemed a good idea at the time, it usually does………………"Let's have a look round the interior access roads, they seem pretty good on this map."
The location was of course the Nordschleife and scouting the photo access points was a responsible use of our time. Our weapon of choice was an Audi A6 Allroad, 4WD and suspension that could be raised to crazy levels………….it should cope with anything and to its credit it did, deep muddy ruts, savage inclines, perilous descents, the A6 took it all without fuss. The SatNav got a little confused at times, here at the heights of Hohe Acht it ran out of ideas but the lure of the Pistenklause kept us steadfast.
OK out again to chart the unknown lands around Adenau.
