Trying to stay new and fresh is a not-so-unique problem to creative professionals. Everyone who is in any creative position hits a creative block and must turn to somewhere for motivation and inspiration. Richard Morris is someone whom I turn to on a regular basis.

Richard's sense of theatrics, emotion, use of color and how he plays with light is, in my eyes, second to very few.

Of course, it also helps that his subjects are part of most gear heads' deepest fantasies…

But, Richard's use of color has the most influence on me.

Second to Richard's use of color, is his sense of composition. I just love the extreme compositions that he uses. This Koenigsegg looks like it's sitting on another world!

A lot of automotive photography these days makes the viewer feel very detached from the subject that is actually being photographed. But Richard gives his viewers a very tangible feeling, emotion. This shot of the Porsche Carrera GT feels very intimate, like we are not suppose to be seeing this –voyeuristic almost.

This shot is just mind blowing, no?

Finally, there is his sense of theatrics. All of Richard's shots look like they came from a movie of some sort. They feel epic.

A word of warning to any aspiring photographer, prepare to be instantly depressed as you view Richard's breath-taking and mind bending work.
