The show season is in full swing. While our very own NFS Socal meeting was held on the 26th, I went to the Automaxx Streetpower event on the 27th and at the same time the Heaven On Wheels event was on in Belgium. The Streetpower event was held at the famous TT circuit in Assen, Holland. It was also the first round of the Dutch Time Attack series.

Some familiar faces showed up, like the Bonder Racing E36 with an RB26 engine. The guys at DBM Engineering fitted a new exhaust and it got some new aero enhancements. In the end it was the fastest car of the day which was quite surprising, to me at least, because it beat the UK Cyber EVO driven by Robin Duxbury.

Another familiar face was the car owned and driven by Lennard Wander. The car has been built for drifting but Lennard was invited and it offered him a great opportunity to see how fast it went around the circuit.

I’m going to pay him a visit next month to see what else he has got inside his garage.

TR Racing made the long trek from the UK to Holland to showcase their R34 GT-R and try to beat the Dutch.

Here we have the EVO IX from Redbrick Racing. Robin Duxbury managed to place second just behind the Bonder Racing E36. The car is powered by a 900bhp engine but it seemed that horsepower alone wasn’t enough to beat the 600bhp BMW.

After a small and quick lunch break I headed towards the paddock. This Mini was one that caught my eye. It featured a few subtle modifications of which the wheels and the drop were the most prominent.

This R34 looked amazing with a special set of Nismo wheels.

The Botter Tuning Opel Kadett had some technical difficulties. I’m not sure what was wrong but on my way back I spotted the car being towed by another Opel. So I’m guessing it had engine troubles.

It is powered by this 380bhp 2.0 litre power source.

There aren’t many FCs on the road in the Netherlands. So seeing one of these competing in the Time Attack race is rather special.

Jeroentje.nl came out in full force with several of their demo cars including this R33 GTS-T.

While attending these car shows I always run into friends. One of these friends from JB-Tuning just finished his Nissan Silvia S15. I’ll have a full spotlight ready this week.

The guys from JB Tuning also brought their Nissan Stagea with them. But it is no ordinary Stagea because this one has a full R34 nose and rolled on some very bright pink wheels.

Let me know if you want to see more of this badboy.

One of the cars that I had a special interest was this R33 GT-R that had just recently been brought to Holland. This car also deserves a Spotlight so expect one at the end of the week.
