Formula Drift photographer, Jose Martinez, sent this photo of Fredric Aasbo drifting in what looks like a regular ol' flat parking lot. But when realize that its the Arab country of Qatar, it brings in a whole new perspective. Who would've thought seven years ago that a fledgling drift series in the United States would be traveling to exotic locals like Dubai and Qatar?
The event takes place at the Qatar Racing Club skid pad. And because FD needed the judging tower, the track built this very tower in just two days. For a two day old tower, with all the amenities the FD Staff needs (AC, desks and chairs), it actually looks sleek, modern, and quite designer! Impressive.
