This is not Gymkhana, although it looks like the FIA GT3 drivers might have been watching one too many videos during the gap between races. GT cars are not supposed to do this. They're built to be low-slung and fast – keeping close to the ground is what they're supposed to do. This is Dan Brown in the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia coming over the brow of the hill just before the braking zone at turn three at the rather awesome Slovakiaring, home to this weekend's round of the European FIA GT3 Championship. Earlier on in the day, during the first Free Practice session, their AF Corse team-mates – and championship leaders – in #50 got even more air, coming close to flipping the Ferrari in a Peter Dumbreck Le Mans style… Thankfully the 458s seem solidly built – and would repeat their intra-team air-challenge lap after lap during practice. Porsches came a decent second; Audis a poor third, many degrees of angle down. Everyone else was obviously running far too much downforce and must try harder. Welcome to Slovakia!
