I think the Skyline Meeting that was mixed in along with the AE86 Matsuri in Tsukuba really needs its own separate posts because there were a hell of a lot of cool cars and it just wouldn't be right to rush over this very special group.

The best thing was seeing a showing from so many generations of Skylines and GT-Rs, from the KPGC10 in the opening shot to this ridiculously extreme carbonized BNR34!

By mid-morning this is the little group that had begun to form in one area of the main paddock. You can see Mt. Tsukuba there in the background by the way, a great place to head to for some touge!

This is one of a very few events of the year where you can get to see so many R30s and R31s in various states of tune. These cars are pretty rare, but you can always expect to see very well kept examples like this RS-Turbo lining up in the pit lane ready to go out on track for a session.

The vintage Hakosukas took over pits 1 to 11 and were quite a sight when neatly parked up like this!

After well over ten years of Skyline ownership I do regard myself as quite the otaku in the area, but I have to admit I don't know as much as I'd like to about the R30 and R31 so it's very cool to be able to see so many modified ones…

…from sedate looking cars like this R30…

…to more visually aggressive ones like this R31 seen here entering the main paddock just after the access tunnel.

Check this R31 out, looks almost stock aesthetically…

…but one look under the hood reveals a heavily tuned FJ20 running a rather large Trust T78 turbo!

This is the real deal, one of the 197 KPGC110 ever made. There are probably quite a few less than that still in one piece, so seeing one up close and hearing its S20 screaming around the track is quite a treat.

While a lot of owners were there for a casual drive around Tsukuba 2000, others were there to attempt serious times like this R34 and R33.

The Kenmary grabbed one of the pits. Wouldn't want to leave that original paint under the sun for longer than is needed!

Can you get a meaner looking Skyline sedan than this!!

Here was another KPGC110, on S-tires!

Garage Kagotani were out with their BNR32 time attack beast…

…a GT-R that means serious business. No doubt we will be seeing it out at Battle Evome days this month!

Like last year the YMS BNR32 was present…

…along with this mean JUN built widebody example from Scratch.

Bee-Racing were invited to participate in the drift exhibition and Tezuka got to drive his all-new BNR34 which he will be using from this season.

Imai-san was showing off his new Hello Kitty wallet. Very stylish!

Sessions were quite mixed up for the Skyline group with modern R33s and R32s…

…heading our with R30s and R31.

The vintage cars however got their own time out on track.

It's great seeing these valuable historics…

…being properly enjoyed by their owners…

…who certainly weren't babying them around Tsukuba's tricky turns!

This red Hakosuka was among the fastest out of the group.

I hope you enjoyed this look at the Skylines that showed up at this very cool event. Next up I can't pass up the opportunity to show you some Lancers, of the vintage variety of course!
