Mad Mike Whiddett today announced that he will be competing in the 2012 D1GP championship in Japan. And, as you might have guessed, he'll be behind the wheel of a quad rotor RX-7. However as this teaser photo shows, it's a different car to the 'MADBUL' FD RX-7 that was nominated as the 2011 Speedhunters Car of the Year. Dubbed the 'JAPBUL', the D1GP RX-7 was built by Magic Co in Japan, and is set to debut at the Odaiba round on April 14.
