I can't believe it's already been 11 yeas since I took this picture of the RE-Amemiya AD-kitted time attack FD3S. The car had just won a T1 time attack round in Tsukuba, one of the first time attack events I ever attended in Japan. It was blisteringly quick for the time, managing to lap Tsukuba 2000 in 58-seconds. Things have moved on quite a lot since then, but this remains a bit of a legend in rotary circles as it inspired so many cars out there. Amemiya-san still owns this car, and he has recently refreshed it with some additional engine and aero work. It's cool to take a look back in history sometimes!
