This time last month we revealed that Speedhunters would be taking part in the 10th annual Scion Tuner Challenge, and going head-to-head with GT Channel and Super Street in a media outlet face-off. Well, since then the team leads have each received their base for the build – a Scion FR-S Release Series 1.0 – and the transformations from stock standard to SEMA-worthy have begun. Or at least our car’s transformation has, judging by this new clip from Scion…

If you think a body kit, some wheels and a few accessories is all it takes to win this contest, then think again. As the 2013 Scion Tuner Challenge SEMA Show Finale video shows, Speedhunters’ Technical Editor, Keith Charvonia – along with Designer Andy Blackmore – will need to pull out all the stops if we’re going to taste glory at the Las Vegas Convention Center in November. Given what these guys have individually achieved in the past though, we know the build is in very good hands.
