Sin City was the epicenter of everything awesome in the modified and custom automotive world last week, but it wasn’t just contained to the halls and grounds of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Over at The Linq, Red Bull Global Rallycross wrapped up its 10-round 2014 season and crowned a new GRC champion.
Ultimately, it all boiled down to a battle between Hoonigan Racing Division’s Ken Block and Supercar class rookie Joni Wiman (a 21-year-old Finn and 2013’s GRC Lights division champ) driving for Olsbergs MSE. Heading into the final 10-lapper it couldn’t have been much closer. For Block to take championship win he not only had to win the race outright, but also required Wiman to finish no better than third. If Wiman placed first or second, the 2014 title would belong to him. No pressure for either driver then…
