Ladies and gentlemen, this is it. Forget the other Gatebil events that occur throughout the year for a moment, because the festival of automotive excess happening at Rudskogen, Norway, this weekend is the big one. It’s the epitome of what Gatebil is all about and has become a Mecca for car enthusiasts all around the world.

We’ve already survived the first and relatively calm day – at least by Gatebil standards – to bring you some highlights of what you can expect to see on your screens in the coming week.

We’ll be splitting our time between covering the wildest driving and action on track, from 100mph-plus wall runs to the smokiest power slides.

We’ll also be hunting down the wildest of cars that you just have to know about. How’s this as a perfect example – a twin-engined Starlet that does huge four-wheel drive drifts.

But just to mix things up a little from how we’ve done it in the past, we’re also going to let some Gatebil regulars – and newbies – tell you what it’s like to be here.
As always, if you can’t wait until our next post, you can follow our Instagram account where Alok and I will be bringing you a behind the scenes look from Norway, whilst Larry will be showing you what’s happening right now at Formula D Japan at Fuji Speedway.
It’s a great weekend for Speedhunting.
