The new month of Speedhunting is about to begin, but before we hit you with some fresh content – and there’s plenty coming in February – it’s time to take a quick look at some of the videos we’ve been watching this week…
First up, we’ve got a Hakosuka-faced 1974 Datsun Sunny ute that should look somewhat familiar to you…
Dominic Le’s ‘Hakotora‘ was one of the standout creations at last year’s SEMA Show, and if you caught our coverage from the 2015 event you should recall Keith’s spotlight feature on this very machine. In this new video from Jay Leno’s Garage, Jay speaks to Dominic about the build and then takes the SR20DET-powered ute for run.
Next up it’s a new short film from GoPro, titled The Chase of Inches: Best of Formula Drift 2015. As the name suggests, the video revisits some of the best battles of last year’s FD championship, all caught on HERO4 cameras.
We don’t need to tell you how cool the Koenigsegg Regera is shaping up to be, and with every new video that reveals a little more about it, the excitement is only growing for this ground-breaking ‘megacar’. In this clip from Shmee150, you can ride with Christian von Koenigsegg and learn more about some of the Regera’s intricacies, including its oh-so-cool KDD (Koenigsegg Direct Drive) transmission.
Finally this week we have the trailer for Speedhunters’ contributor Brian Goude’s second GrinderTV DVD, aptly named GrinderTV Volume 2. Mini and full-sized trucks, plus custom classics, VWs and more feature in this release; all captured during Brian’s travels across the USA. More at GrinderTV.
