Another big week of Speedhunting is about to kick off, but before we get into it, it’s time to take a look at some of the videos we’ve been checking out over the past 7 days.
Let’s get things started with a new Focus RS promo from Ford Performance…
With its 2.3L EcoBoost engine, purposeful body styling and all-wheel drive, the 2016 Focus RS is a car that Ford ‘Rallye Sport’ fans have been waiting a long time for. Ford’s RS legacy harks back to the days of Mk1 Ford Escorts, and this cool clip titled The RS Anthem, reflects on some of the famed machines that have worn the iconic badge.
Next up, it’s off to Sydney, Australia, to check out a new collaborative project car build between Motive DVD and Powercruise. Creating the wildest GT-R ‘street car’ ever seen is the goal here, and by loading a 1200hp-plus R35 VR38DETT engine into a BNR34 Skyline GT-R base, it’s obvious that the guys aren’t mucking around. Once you’re done watching the first episode of project ERUBISU, you can check out the 2nd and 3rd updates in the series as well.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like to strap up in Top Fuel drag car and shoot down the quarter mile in less than 4 seconds at over 300mph (482km/h), this in-car from Don Schumacher Racing will give you some sort of idea – at least from a purely visual standpoint. Shot at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park, 2013 NHRA Top Fuel champion Shawn Langdon is your pilot for this absolutely mind-numbing 3.77 @ 316mph (508km/h) pass.
Finally this week, we’re going to leave you with a new video from our colleagues over at NFS; specifically a teaser for the forthcoming PC release of Need for Speed.
As always, if you’ve watched a cool video online this week, don’t forget to share it in the comments section below!
