A new week of Speedhunting is about to kick off, but before we get into it, it’s time to take a look at some of the videos we’ve been checking out over the past 7 days.
Let’s get things started with a new clip from EKanoo Racing…
You might be expecting another video of a world record-setting ET from the Bahrain-based drag racing team – they seem to run one every other weekend after all – but this time around it’s actually a feature-length documentary titled The Racing Legends – Evolution. Whether you’ve got an interest in sport compact quarter-mile action or not, this is an insightful look into one of the most passionate and success-driven teams on the planet.
Next up, it’s a very cool behind the scenes/interview mash-up video from Sean Klingelhoefer, as shot by Bryan Anton. The subject: a recent photo project with Rod Emory of Emory Motorsports, focusing on his amazing Porsche 356 Outlaw creations.
You don’t need to be an F1-phile to recognise the importance of McLaren’s MP4/1 – this is the car that 35 years ago revolutionized the sport through its carbon fibre construction, after all. First Light is a 12-minute documentary on the development of the MP4/1, as told by its designer, John Barnard.
Finally this week, we have a “quick and dirty” 360-degree video from Magnus Walker. Using the controls to the alter the camera angle (best viewed through the YouTube app on smartphones), join the Urban Outlaw as he rips up a canyon road in his 1978 Porsche SCHR. The picture quality isn’t the best, but it’s an enjoyable watch all the same.
As always, if you’ve watched a cool clip online this week, don’t forget to share it in the comments section below!
