To me, the perfect picture has always been about capturing a subject in the right place at the right time.
You can fabricate and set up an image as much as you want to make it stand out, and it will look special. But in my eyes, nothing quite grabs your attention like an snap taken out in the ‘wild’. It materialises in front of you, and you’re usually presented with a very short window of opportunity to get your camera settings just right and grab it. At Tatsumi Parking Area over the weekend, this moment presented itself.
I had just enough time to run to my car, pick up my camera and get the shot before the elegant Alfa Romeo 8C left. No time for tripods; no time for lights; just a single chance to capture something special. This is the essence of Speedhunting.
