We’re about to kick off another new week of Speedhunting, but before we get into that, it’s time to take a quick look at some of the videos we’ve been checking out over the past seven days.
Let’s get things started with a follow-up to a popular RWB video…
A couple of weeks ago we shared Krispy Media’s RWB Philadelphia #1 documentary, which showcased Akira Nakai giving Ben Harmony’s Porsche 993 the full RAUH-Welt Begriff treatment. The lime green creation is a stunning machine, but we were equally impressed by Krispy’s accompanying 4K film, and in this behind-the scenes clip you can check out how the production’s final sequence was planned and executed.
Next up, we’re at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed for an encounter with “the most beautiful touring car in the world”. When the subject is a BMW E30 M3 DTM it’s hard to argue with that statement, and having Johnny Cecotto giving a tour of the ’90s icon is just the cherry on the top.
There are great stories behind many of the cars featured in Petrolicious videos, and John Benton’s late ’60s Porsche 912 is one of them. The stunning coupé has had a huge amount of time invested into it over John’s long ownership, both in perfecting and driving, and in this short film you get a real sense for just how much the 912 means to him.
Finally this week, we have a new clip from Red Bull featuring Bryce Menzies and his Pro 2 off-road machine ahead of a truck jump distance record attempt later this month. Three hundred and thirty two feet is the current record, and for Menzies to have a chance at eclipsing the number (check it out live on Red Bull TV, August 27 at 3:00pm ET/12:00pm PT), some upgrades are being made to his 900hp dirt racer, which you can check out by hitting play above.
That’s all for now, but as always, if you’ve watched a cool video online this week don’t forget to share it in the comments section below!
