A brand new week of Speedhunting is about to kick off, but before we get stuck into that, it’s time to take a quick look at some of the videos we’ve been checking out over the past seven days.
Let’s get things started with a new video from Porsche…
Last year, Porsche Great Britain ran a competition amongst its UK Porsche centres and recommended repairer network, the challenge being to take a model from Porsche’s transaxle era and give it a full top-to-bottom restoration. The results were quite amazing, and this short film showcases some of the entries, including the winning car and the story behind it.
Given the number of views it’s had in the past six days, there’s a good chance you’ve already caught this episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. But for those that haven’t, Jay’s look at a 1939 Plymouth powered by a Cessna seaplane engine is definitely worth a look. This creation is amazing, and ultra cool to boot.
The Just Car Insurance Brisbane Jamboree is the biggest event on the Australia sport compact drag racing calendar, and for 2016 there was another solid turnout of racers and spectators. This short highlights clip does a good job of conveying the ambiance of this annual festival of straight-line speed.
Finally this week, it’s the full 40-minute documentary of Bryce Menzies’ record-setting jump in his Pro 2 off-road truck, which was specifically modified for the ramp-to-ramp flight above a New Mexico ghost town.
As always, if you’ve watched a cool clip online this week, don’t forget to share it in the comments section below.
