A new week of Speedhunting is about to kick off, but before that happens, it’s time to take a quick look at some of the videos we’ve been watching over the past seven days.

First up, it’s a clip from Red Bull featuring one of the biggest names in drifting and a simply epic mountain road in South Africa…

Mad Mike Whiddett needs no introduction around here, and Conquer The Cap – featuring the Kiwi drifter, his 800hp 20B Mazda RX-8 and the Franschhoek Pass – is another example why.

Next up, it’s a short, drift-related fictional film from Steve Ketner titled Road Fury. Featuring a couple of S-chassis Nissans, a pursuit, fire and fireworks, and a distinctly ’80s vibe, this collaboration with Greece’s ZF Garage is a good watch.

Drift Challenge Australia (DCA) is the name behind some of the best drifting events held Down Under. Given their focus on drifting’s original spirit, it was really only a matter of time before they took it back to the streets, and DCA’s ‘King Of The Hill’ event held last month was Australia’s first drift competition held on public roads – legally, of course. This clip from Gripshiftslide provides some nice coverage.

Finally this week, it’s a new analysis from Engineering Explained, this time studying the science behind Supercar-class rallycross machines going 0-60mph in less than 2 seconds.

That’s all for now, but as always, if you’ve watched a cool automotive-related video this week, don’t forget to share it with us in the comments section below.
